She is here!! Addie arrived on May 12, 2011 at 8:43 am. I woke up at 7 am and had her by 8:43 am so needless to say it was a world-wind of a morning. When I got up, I lost a little fluid and felt cramps. I called my parents and told them what was going on and they decided to head this way. By 7:20 I was having regular contractions about 2 minutes apart. We rushed Parker over to Lucas' parent's house and made our way to the hospital. We got to the hospital about 8:15 and they immediately put me into a room. All I wanted was my epidural but the contractions were coming so fast I could not stay still long enough for them to put in my IV. I was dilated 8 cm and my doctor thought we could still try and get the epidural but no such luck. Addie decided she needed to come out and I was ready for her to be out!! She weighed 8 lbs. 9 oz. and 20 1/2 in. long. She is perfect!! Her collar bone does have a small break on one side but it will heal in time. Parker has been the best BIG brother ever!! He wants to hold her, kiss on her and help us out in any way!! He will really enjoy her in a few more months!!

Here are a few pictures of Addie's room and me 38 weeks prego. We are just playing the waiting game for our little girl to arrive!! Over the past few weeks, Parker got tubes put in and adenoids taken out so we are also waiting for him to fully recover. He is doing good, just still congested. They say it can take a few weeks. Hopefully by the time Addie comes, he will be back to normal!! He seems excited for her to come...when we ask if he is ready to see his baby sister he says, YES!! I think he will be such a big helper and an awesome BIG brother!!

I can't believe our little boy is 2!! How fast these last two years have gone by. We celebrated his birthday with our family and friends at the house. The theme was "monkey see monkey do Parker Ryan is turning 2" and I would say we had a bunch of little monkeys running around.

It was a fun time!! The website is acting up so I will post more pics later...

Here are a few pictures from the last month. Parker is still making us laugh each and every moment of the day!! He loves to play with anything and be right up in all that we are doing. He is such a big helper!! I know he will be a great big brother to his sister Addie!! I am 25 weeks pregnant and doing great. It is crazy how different this time around is, not much time to sit and think about being pregnant!! But there is not a day that goes by that we don't pray for a healthy baby girl!! These first few pictures are ones we had taken at the barn when the entire Sealy family was in town.

The Most Wonderful Time of Year...

We had a great few weeks of Christmas!! It started off with my Dad being "Santa" for all the kids. He did such a good job with his Ho, Ho, Ho's and most all the kids loved him!! I was worried about Parker because he didn't take too well to Santa but he really liked Dad. We had Christmas with Amy, Rob and Mom and Dad at our house on the 23rd and then Christmas day with everyone at the Sealy's. It was great to have the entire family together!! Parker was so fun this year. He got a kitchen, train table and little table for our kitchen from Santa. We all took bets on which one he would go to first...of course the kitchen!!

Our trip to see Santa was pretty funny!! Parker didn't want to have anything to do with him. He pouted and cried when we put him on his lap. I figured this would happen even though he goes around the house saying HO, HO, HO!! We are having Santa visit our house before he goes out for his big night so hopefully Parker has better feelings then. Since we have not been on the blog in awhile, I should tell you that we are having a baby GIRL!! Her name will be Addison Kay and we think we will probably call her Addie. Hard to imagine a girl since all we know is boy but we are super excited to meet her in May.

Well, over the last month, we have been moving like crazy!! (Literally) We moved into a new home as well as moved my classroom. I will be job sharing next year so I will work Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday. We moved all my classroom into the garage for now along with all the stuff from the move. I figure come Sept. we might have things put back together. As for the new house, it is about 2 minutes from Lucas' office so it has been nice to have him home for lunch on occasions or run up there to see him. I know he is enjoying being so close to home. My new school is about 5 minutes so I am now the one who will drive the most. :0)

Our little man is at such a BUSY age!! I am so glad to be home for the summer and can't wait for next year to spend more time with him. But the first week I was home I did think to myself, what in the world did I just do going part-time...being at home is a FULL-TIME job!!! We are adjusting and I know it will only get better and better!! Here are a few pics of the last busy

Parker had his first pool time this past weekend. He loves to lay on the edge of the pool and splash in the water and then he actually went into the water (not with Mommy of course). I think his favorite was playing with the water hose. He loved it!!

It has been a long time but we are back in business. Parker is officially a year old and toddling around everywhere!! He is a busy little bee and keeps us all on our toes. He talks to us all day long, just can't make out all his words. His favorite words are "Dada" (of course), "Buba and dog-dog). When I try to get him to say Mama, he says Dada...hopefully "Mama" will become a favorite soon!!
Other Sealy news...We have sold our house and live with Lucas' parents. I was an emotional wreck packing and moving our first home. Now that we are totally out, I think I am recovering. We will close on our new home on May 18th and then plan to put in new floors and paint before we move in. So the plan is to be ready to move in right when I get out of school. Our new home is in a neighborhood right in front of Lucas' office. So it will be nice to have him close to home. Here are the latest pics from Parker's year old pictures.

Long Time No Post...

Well, I don't have an excuse as to why I have not made it on here!! :0)

But I wanted to update you on what has been going on and of course post some pics of our busy little man. I can't believe we are almost 1 month away from a 1st birthday!! He is so funny to watch...he is trying SO hard to stand up on his own without holding on to anything. He will get up onto one knee and act as if he is going to push himself up but can't quite make it. I think it is hard for him to lift up 25 pounds!! His words are Dadda and Bubba (for Sambo), no Mama to be heard. Even though that is the one we practice the most!! He loves to sing and it is so funny to watch him dance along to the music...he bounces!! Hopefully he has better rhythm than his Mommy!!

We are in the process of selling our house, we are in need of more space. Moving is a huge chore...especially with a baby!! We are still looking for the right house and have not actually sold ours yet, although we have had lots of interest. Hopefully, the right person will come along and love our house just as much as I do and we will find that perfect house!!

I can't believe it is almost the middle of Nov. and I have not had a chance to update.
We had a great Halloween!! Our little lion roared through his trick-or-treating and won a medal at his first costume party!! He was so excited he didn't take a nap all day so by the time it was time to go he was ready for bed!!
Last week, Parker had to have surgery on his "man parts." One of his testicles never dropped so they went in and pulled it down and repaired a small hernia. He did so good!! I was more worked up than he was. The hardest part was watching him come out of the anesthesia, he was very disoriented and just cried. It broke my heart. But he was back to himself within the day.

Parker had his first experience at the pumpkin patch. I had full intentions to dress him up in his costume but it was 90 degrees here and that was not pumpkin patch weather. So, we took a few and might go back when we have some "fall" weather. We had so much fun dressing Parker up and taking pictures of him (I should probably say "I" had fun dressing him up). He actually didn't mind all the action!!

6 months

Parker went for his 6 month check up and our little man is growing quickly!! He weighs 21 pounds and is 27 1/2 inches long. He rolls around like he is on a mission to find something to get into. It is so funny to watch him go. The last couple of weeks, he has gone from sleeping through the night to waking up either wide awake or hungry!! After much trial and error to try and fix this situation, we found 2 little teeth poking through his gums. His sleeping is back to normal which is a great thing for Mommy and Daddy. We ordered his "big boy" car seat and got it in the other day. Even though we only have 1 pound until we out grow his infant car seat, I am just not ready to make the switch. We ended up ordering a car seat called Maxi-Cosi. It seems to have all the features we were looking for and good reviews. Check out our growing boy...

Parker Ryan was baptised on September 6th. What an amazing feeling to witness your child being baptised!! We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends to support us on this special day. Parker also met his great grandparents for the first time!! Our little boy is forever growing and changing!! What a joy it is to experience each moment with him!!

4 months

So the question we always get asked is "how old is he?" When we say 4 months, the response is always wow!! So we call him our "chunky monkey!!" He weighs 18 pounds (90%) and is 26" long (90%), Lucas claims he is very proportional!! I have learned how impatient babies can be. When he wants something, especially food, he wants it now!! We will have to work on being patient when he gets a little older. His giggles and talking are the most wonderful things in the world to hear. At times, he will just stare at me with his big blue eyes as if to say, I love you Mommy!! Melts my heart!! Since he has started eating rice cereal, he goes to bed between 7 and 8pm and wakes up between 7 and 8pm, very nice for us!! Here some latest pictures-

Mimi bought this outfit for Christmas but since he is growing so much we were afraid he might not fit into it in December. So, we had "Christmas in July!!" We might be lucky, it seems to be a large 9 mo. outfit so maybe he will squeeze into it later too!! He was a trooper, even though we never got that cute smile we all love!!

Over the 4th of July we went to Nana and Grandpa's house and spent a lot of time relaxing in the pool!! Parker loves the water!! He either likes to swim around with you or lay in his float and fall asleep. Rough life!!

Now, you are never going to believe this...Parker has started eating rice cereal!! He was sleeping through the night and this past week decided to start waking up at 3am, 4am, 5am...hungry. I would make him wait it out until 6am but after a few days of that I was pretty tired. So, we started giving him an ounce of rice cereal . His first few bites were pretty funny, he started gaging and then got the hiccups. After a little bit he was tired of trying and wanted the easy road so we gave him his bottle. These past few days have been better, he really has gotten the hang of swallowing and seems to like it.

On Sunday, Parker turned 3 months old!! Lucas got on the scale with him and he is weighing around 16 pounds. So, I thought we better get out the jumperoo before he out grew it!! We had such an exciting weekend, my sister's boyfriend, Rob, called last week and said he was going to propose and wanted us to come to Austin to surprise her. My family and his family met at the Oasis and Rob brought Amy there as a surprise after he proposed to her. She was so excited to see us there!! We are all so happy for both of them!! There are some pictures of all of us at the Oasis and then a few random pictures of our growing boy!!

I love this picture!! This is what Amy looked like when she saw all of us. She was so happy to see us but mad at the same time because none of us would answer her phone calls. She forgave us once she saw we were actually there!!

Over Father's Day weekend, Lucas and I went to Barton Creek for his work summer regional meeting. Parker stayed home with his Mimi and Popeye. It was hard to leave him for the first time over night!! So, we celebrated Father's Day the Thursday before. Parker and I made pottery and made Daddy a frame that said, "Daddy's Little Caddy." He also gave him a cooler full of "Daddy and Me Things" in hopes some day soon they will get to enjoy them!! These are a few pictures of our day making pottery and then Mommy posing Parker for a picture for the frame.

Crystal and Hayden came into town for a couple of days. We took the boys swimming and Parker loved his first time in the pool. It took a little bit for him to realize it wasn't the bath tub but I think he took a liking to it!!

Summer Time!!

Summer is finally here!! I went back to school for the last two weeks and it was hard. Parker spent the first week with his Mimi and last week with Nana and Grandpa. Last week just about did Lucas and I in...Parker was constipated (hadn't pooped in 5 days), I was sick and got pink eye, Sambo hurt his tail and our air conditioner went out. So, thank goodness my parents were here to help!! Everything is back to normal, Parker is weighing in at 14 pounds and never missing a meal. He is 10 weeks old and just started "talking" to mommy and daddy. I love it when he smiles at me and then opens his mouth as if he is going to tell me a big story and sure enough sound will come out. It is the best!! He has moved into his big boy bed in his room and sleeping anywhere from 5 to 8 hours at a time during the night. I wouldn't call it sleeping through the night just yet. Everyday I feel he is growing and changing. We are loving every minute of it!!

Roadtrips, Play dates and Parties

WOW...what a busy last few weeks!! Parker got to meet his Auntie Bri and celebrate his Popeye's birthday. We went over to Brad and Regina's house and Jack and Parker got to play or shall we say lay together. He also had a play date with Griffin and they were perfect little boys while Alli and I were able to catch up on life as a mommy. We took our first road to Keller to see Nana and Grandpa and celebrate Auntie Amy's 24th birthday. While we were there, Parker went to his first birthday party and got to meet Clayton. Clayton and Parker are 3 days apart. We had a great time meeting and discovering new things. Parker has filled out and starting to grow out of the "newborn" stage. How fast time flies!!

Well, today was my actual due date. I can't imagine life without him. It seems like he was been with us forever!! We have had a busy couple of weeks. He went on his first walk, visited Daddy at his office and had his first bath!! He did such a good job, he truly is a wonderful baby!!

After a long Saturday morning of taking a practice principal exam, Parker decided to make his way into our world!! We went to the hospital only thinking it probably was a false alarm and we would be sent home, due to him being 2 weeks early, and instead we were admitted and had him a few hours later. At 6:28pm on March the 28th, we were blessed to meet Parker Ryan. These last few days have been nothing but exciting as we all learn the joys of raising a baby!!

We had a wonderful couple's shower hosted by some of our dear friends. I wasn't sure how the boys would respond to being at a baby shower...but they all seemed to enjoy themselves. Well, we have hit 30 weeks!! I can't believe how fast the time has flown by. He is moving around like crazy!! Sometimes I think he is making knots in my stomach. We can watch my belly move around, it is pretty neat!! We just wish we could see what he is up to.

The baby doll in the background is one of my sister's when she was little. We put a onesie on her and started calling her Parker to try and get Sambo used to a baby. He will lick the baby but doesn't seem to interested in it. I am sure he will love the real Parker!!

The rocking chair was given to us by Mimi and Papa (Lucas' grandparents). It was built in 1897 for Papa's father and then Papa used it as a child. Now it has been passed down the family and Parker will be able to share in the tradition!!

Finally found baskets to fit on and under the table. I bought several sizes to see which ones would fit. Lucas doesn't seem to understand why we need so many baskets. I told him we will have plenty to fill them with!!

There are 6 girls from our pledge class who are pregnant within a few months of each other. The rest of the girls threw a wonderful baby shower for all of us. It was so good to see everyone!! Thanks girls for a wonderful shower!!

What a wonderful first baby shower!! My sister, Amy, and best friend from growing up, Anna, did a great job. We received so many things I know Parker will get good use out of. We got his bedding and my mom made a rag quilt to match. I was very surprised when I opened it up, I thought maybe she bought it. She did a great job, we love it!!

Christmas time in New York!!

Lucas and I went to New York for a week, enjoying our time together!! We visited with Robin and Dave and then it was off to the city, walking, walking and MORE walking!! We only took the subway once, not only because of the confusion down there but we loved the sights and sounds of the streets. The Christmas decorations were beautiful, shopping was great and yummy pizza!! We had a wonderful time!!

Growing Baby Boy and Belly....

Are you ready for the belly bump? The last time I was at the doctor, I gained 6 pounds in a month. That was a shock for me because I didn't really have a belly. But just recently it has popped out a bit...

It's a BOY!!! We are both SO excited to have a baby boy!! We both keep smiling just thinking about him. Lucas' asked his mom about his old little football and I'm thinking about how I am going to keep him safe...elbow pads or knee pads. I am sure I will have to relax a little bit, hopefully that comes with time!!

OK, I know you are suppose to blog more than I have but I wanted to wait to have pics of the baby. I could've done belly pics but Lucas said there is not much of a belly. So...take a look at our precious baby!!

We are so excited!! What a change from the 8 week sonogram. The baby is 3 inches from the head to the bottom, and growing right on schedule for our April 11th due date. They said everything looks "normal" so that was nice to hear. It's little heart was beating 155 bpm. They took blood to find out the sex of the baby so we should know in 7-10 business days. Then we go back at the end of the month for a sonogram. I'll be back then unless my belly bump gets bigger!!

Hurrican Ike Survival

We survived the hurricane with no damage, just a few broken branches. It has been over a week since we have seen power and every one's nerves are almost shot. We are running our fridge off our neighbor's generator so at least we have that. Lucas has made good use of the grill!! After almost a week, I had to escape and went up to my parent's in Keller. As it looks now, we hope to gain power by next Thursday. Lets hope!!!

Our First Sonogram

We went to the doctor on Wednesday and got to see our baby!! It was 1.8 cm long and the heart was beating 178 BPM. We were both pretty amazed to hear the heart beat!! Lucas said the picture didn't do much for him-it is hard to make anything out yet. Just a little arm bud!! As of now, our due date is April 11th.
